Flat Fee Listings and how to use them to leverage the MLS and realtor commission systems

Here's a quick video I found on YouTube. This guy is using a little known technique to list his houses on the MLS using what's called a flat fee listing. Low tech production, but good creative out of the box thinking....








I few items to note. When using this type of technique you as the seller will be responsible for all your own marketing, showing the property and doing the open houses. If you we're just planning on selling a property on your own, you would be doing this anyway. Additionally, never discount that using an agent does have it's advantages - such as; increased marketing efforts, increased agent networking and having a professional help you negotiate contracts and deal with all the buyer's issues. I'm showing this video more for the experienced investors who are looking for a way to get the exposure the MLS system provides and to leverage the sellers agent's motivation.
